taxesIt’s that time again. Yes, time to file your taxes. Pensacola State College is, as in previous years, joining The United Way of Escambia county to provide assistance. The free Vita Tax Preparation and E-Filing volunteers (all IRS certified), are now available. Maximize your money by filing your taxes for FREE for individuals and families who have an annual income of $60,000 or less.

Online: File your taxes anywhere, anytime at If you have questions, just call the MyFreeTaxes Helpline at 1-855-698-9435, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

In Person: Go to a VITA site and have an IRS-certified volunteer prepare your taxes one-on-one. Location and times are listed below or you can dial 2-1-1 for the most current information. All VITA sites will be open the first week of February through April 15th.

Why not take care of two birds with one stone? You have to gather your income information (and more) to file your taxes. With that information in hand, file your annual FAFSA application, which is  necessary to receive financial aid.
